In 2008, Syrinx joined DJ Nyte and DJ Greg Mack to assist with the launch of Nyte’s Realm Radio, focusing initially on public relations and advertising. His role shifted toward broadcasting following a guest appearance on The Wide World of Sex. That appearance established his on-air presence and led to discussions about him producing an original mixshow. He developed several demo episodes under the title The Red Star Megamix Hour to test the format, and following positive listener feedback, the program was officially renamed The Sunday Night Special and debuted on April 19, 2009.
The mixshow was designed to ignite the evening’s broadcasted party, serving as the high energy lead in for The Kode & Nyte Show, a late night program famous for talk, music, debauchery, and teleshots. During this time, Syrinx was a frequent guest co-host, eventually stepping into a full time role alongside DJ Nyte as the show evolved into The Sunday Nyte Show. While the mixshow continued to open the night, the seamless transition between both programs turned the entire Sunday lineup into an essential, non-stop party for listeners tuning in for the music and the chaos.
