KHIONIK
Beats and Samples; Vocals ✪ 2014-2023
Through the chilled winds of industrial echoes, Syrinx and Brian Graupner came together to form Khionik. Drawing inspiration from Khione, the Greek goddess of snow, the project delivered cryokinetic beats infused with old-school club energy. The group was formed in 2014, debuting with their first single, “Vaulted Beast”. Produced by Dan Clark of The Dark Clan, the track was performed shortly after its release, showcasing the group’s crackling energy.
Khionik emerged from the sounds Syrinx developed while remixing tracks for The Gothsicles, Brian’s other project at the time. In 2017, the duo signed with Tigersquawk Records and released a few singles during the label’s run. Later tracks were produced by Daniel Belasco of Glass Apple Bonzai and Gopal Metro, formerly of Bella Morte, for some of the group’s final recordings.
