It Does Go Well With The Chicken

Wild Cat FM ✪ 2011

Due to the success of The Time Warp, Barbara had asked Syrinx if he would like to do a second show. He jumped at the chance, as this one would allow him to show off the other side of his music collection. The first incarnation was called The Syrinx Classic Radio Mixtape and it aired on the Sobel Classics Radio station. Only four of those shows ran before it had the opportunity to move over to The Cellar, which was a new channel that opened up on Wild Cat FM – Sobel Nation’s sister station. This allowed Syrinx to make the show into what he really wanted it to be: An experience from the other side of his music collection. The last ingredient needed was a crazy title! It Does Go Well With The Chicken would be a random selection of songs in a playlist format that would occasionally have a theme to it. The phrase itself comes from “The Blue Nun” track by the Beastie Boys, and that also served as the intro to the show.
